Elephants, Snakes and Monkeys Oh My (and a whale skull)

Tiger cave/temple

Is this really a whale skull? What's it doing here?!

Look at the white man feeding the monkeys everyone!

Kailek - literally translates to "small egg" but "kai" (egg) is also a common nickname for the 2 "eggs" every male mammal has :)

Overall the monkey show was lame at best, but I would call it disgusting - the trainer was not a trainer, just a fat lazy Thai pig with a small monkey on a leash.

Please look on to see pictures of the snake show, which was very impressive and completely humane.

Up close and personal with the King Cobra - the king of snakes - cobras only eat other snakes.

Thailand alone has 180 different kinds of snakes. Most of them poisonous, and most of them ignore humans. Exotic as always!

Grabbing and pinching the heads of the snakes with his hands was not easy, but possible.
But, holding the snake's head with his mouth...this was a truly difficult task that took many attempts.  He had to get close enough to kiss the snake, and very slowly until the last moment.

Sara really did not want to do this!
Took a lot of nudging from me and the other snake trainers.
Pretty sure this is a black cobra.

If I can do this with no training, anyone can.
A little understanding goes a long way.
What do you fear that you also fully understand?

I'm glad Sara got to see elephants, but this place was not good.
We could see dried blood on the elephant's trunk,
And the pinkish color on their skin is definitely not natural.
They wouldn't let us wash the elephants, probably because they don't even have a place to wash them! If they did, they would surely take our money.
