Busan - FOOD!

 All my food and drink pics from a week in Busan;

Like bibimbap, but with noodles. Naturally vegetarian, cheap street food.

Spinach cream sauce gnocchi - vegan

Cold soba - first time I've had noodles with ice chunks in it.

One thing I love about Korean restaurants; all those side dishes are complimentary, with unlimited refills.

I had this 'old Korea snack' many times while staying here. It's wheat and pumpkin and spices. Very chewy, not crunchy. DEFINITELY superior to French fries.

Seeing 'no meat' in English made me feel amazing, had to try this. Haven't seen this in Daegu once. Many more foreigners in Busan, and noticeably bigger and older city I think is why.

Busan, Korea #3 - Summer Vacation

 Final pics from my short summer vacation. Overall, excellent, zero regrets. I love how Busan is so close to Daegu by train; I can come back for a weekend whenever I want.

Biggest temple I've been to in Korea, one of the most famous and beautiful. More significantly, the ONLY temple I've been to that has more than 2 or 3 practitioners inside actually doing some kind of worship. Korea is so secular they are hard to distinguish from the Chinese. Sad!

2km hike from the temple is a fortress. I don't know if you can even still see the fortress, but the wall is still there. I could only make it to the North gate. Very unprepared, as you will see later.

First glance at the ocean before getting to swim in it!

This was a funny experience. At night on the shopping street, there's this big subway vent that people seem to be avoiding. I stood on it, and instant bliss; very cold air! I started attracting a few lucky souls who were willing to leave the herd briefly. This bro's shirt and pants puffed up real big, and we all laughed.

Boat tour. Also, the first time being 'scammed' in Korea. No regrets or hard feelings. The actual price of the ferry is $2 ish, I was charged $12 ish, which also included a short taxi ride. Each time I met someone in the chain, they pocketed and transferred some cash. Totally used to this in other parts of Asia, but not common in the Far East.

Final day, went to the 2nd most famous beach. Having high rise buildings here is great! I came in late afternoon so there was so much shade.
