Bangalore is the silicon valley of India, full of IT engineers and apparently also stoners and party goers...
No tips please! I like.
Royal Enfield is a motorcycle company, similar style as Harley Davidson, seen all over India.
Typical Indian breakfast...that I got at a modern western style pub, oh well.
View from my apartment room on the 24th floor
This was at a city-wide, maybe nation-wide festival. Several areas were blocked off to car traffic, and the streets were PACKED with people...I've never been to a place more crowded with people
My condo complex has so much to offer! Looks like I chose the right place on Airbnb, although the landlord doesn't like foreigners so I'll be moving soon :(
His son is living in America, I guess maybe he just doesn't like foreigners living in the place he owns.
This is the local "Paan" guy. Easily the most unique thing I've put in my mouth, had no chance to take a picture, because you have to eat it whole in one bite, and it's just big enough to fit in your mouth. I don't know what's inside it, definitely shaved ice, and some tobacco-like herbs because my whole mouth went numb, and then it's wrapped in a green leaf and then chocolate syrup is drizzled over it. Very strange.
Sunset view from my window.
The one to the right with the green sauce is local mutton, apparently the best mutton money can buy, more expensive than New Zealand, Australia, etc.
This was at a microbrewery, I went here with my roommate Sakar, who is Nepali and American and also working in education, we've gotten along great.
This was a Punjabi festival at my condo complex. Punjab is all the way in the north of India, but apparently Bangalore is full of people from all over, even from the other side of the Himalayas.
These little cars are fun, partnership between Maruti (Indian) and Suzuki. I noticed this was the only vehicle I've ever been in that had the local language on the steering wheel. Even for Japanese cars, they will write "Honda" (a Japanese name) in English letters. But this car had Hindi/Sanskrit on the steering wheel.
More strange occurrences...There was a man spraying this area, with I don't know what. But the fog looked cool so I took this picture.
Indian Wine -- Completely on par with every Western wine I've tried, very good.
"Maharaj Veg" (Great King Veg)/(Veg Big Mac)
Out clubbing with the bros :)
Love these guys!
