Korea 5

My 5th blog post from Korea, enjoy!

Next one will be about Busan, the 2nd biggest city in Korea on the Southeast coast, my upcoming summer holiday.

Vegan falafel, only one place in the city I know that serves this.

Pokemon is huge over here!

Cheaper shooting than USA, should I try it?!

Bike path along the river nearby. Great fun!

Murals commemorating a local blues artist. Apparently he was quite famous and impactful for Korean culture, and had a mysterious death. I can't understand the lyrics in his songs, but can definitely feel the heart in it.

School field trip planting rice, I love it!

I thought it was the biggest dept. store in Daegu but I heard there is one next to the biggest train station which is bigger.

Political ad. I don't know if they know it's similar to a peace sign.

Two mega churches I stumbled across.

Testing the portrait AI filters on my phone.

These local birds are awesome. Sometimes they hop, sometimes they walk. Black and blue wings are beautiful.

Finally made it to the 2nd of 2 vegan restaurants in Daegu; the Loving Hut. It is run by cultist followers of 'the Supreme Master' I think her title is; a cute Taiwanese lady. The TV runs global vegan propaganda 24/7. Half the screen is all the different translations of the same message.

They built a swimming pool alongside the bike path! I hope it's open soon! They also have lots of tennis and basketball courts, I think all are free and open to the public.

Hidden ferris wheel. Easy to miss if you don't look up.

Can you tell which one is 12 megapixels and which one is 50?

This used to be a big building with several businesses in it next to my school. In just a few weeks it is completely obliterated. Was impressed by how efficient they demolished everything. They had a water truck nearby to spray during demolishing so the dust doesn't spread everywhere. That courtesy is rare in most of Asia.

Most fridays now right after work I see this guy gassing my neighborhood. Apparently it's for bugs and is safe for humans. Allegedly...

Craft beer festival by the lake. Had no idea South Korea had such a big market for this stuff.

This band from Seoul was awesome! They played most of the best pop hits from last century.

Good job kids! Your rice is growing nicely.

Didn't go inside...not really sure what's in the 'Daegu City Center' besides a hotel, and probably several coffee shops.

Open class; took at least a month to prepare for. The parents come in to watch a sample class.
