Random Blog Title

Hope you like the pictures! 😄😎
Some captions below as well.

Also, I made a little tour of Chiang Mai University on my scooter, check it out here;

Cool bamboo trees 😮

Cake was OK, but I've come back several times just for the red velvet latte 👌

Gotta catch em all! 😉

This waterfall is really sweet for how close it is to my apartment, just a 5 minute drive away, I can't believe it took me so many months to find it. Also great hiking trails and views, check it out!

This bro and his new drone 😃😀

This rock in the ground really stood out to me, looks like it could be an Italian white marble sculpture buried under ground here

I look tired in this picture and I'm pretty sure I was in fact, tired. Long day, but always great to be active.

Durian ice cream and purple rice, so yummy, only available in Thailand probably.  The restaurant is American owned right? Swensen's.

Below is all the pictures I have from "motorbike school" for lack of a better name. Have one more advanced class next week.

The red one is a CBR1000 - extremely fast and the engine sound is...sexually fulfilling (for lack of a better word).
The black space ship looking one is automatic, and really expensive. 700,000 THB I think --- more than most cars.

I took these 2 pictures above as a reminder of the success of capitalism;
In Chiang Mai University, the lecture rooms are in noticeably worse condition than here, a privately owned and operated institution #Honda #Japanese

My favorite sandwich of Chiang Mai - The Harvest (pumpkin, cheddar, etc.)

Balance test - I never fell off the middle line, but you're supposed to go really slowly, for a full 10 seconds, maybe I never went that slowly.

Dirt bike for kids - So cute!
Also really impressive to see the adult coaches riding those tiny bikes so well.

This time I treated myself to wine n cheese - I got a coupon for a free appetizer from the other place where I got the harvest sandwich. But the one glass of wine was $10! Boooooooooo

"Time Attack" - as they say in Thai English.
I am rider #16 - at the bottom.
In the first round, I was 3rd place.
In the second round, I was 5th place.
BUT! I did have the smallest engine size bike.

I definitely felt slower and less confident the 2nd time around - not sure why.  It did feel like the tires had less traction. Our classes were in Thai and English - and while I can understand their English, it was lacking detail compared to their instructions in Thai.

We started from in between those 2 cones on the right there, and then went around the entire course. Gymkhana, it's called - involving all skills; straight rhythm, long corners, short corners, 360, 180, slalom, etc.

This was the only slide in their PPT worth taking a picture of. Fortunately, the lack of a good PPT was replaced with more time on the bike!

Standard Indian veg-set.
But, this one here had the best rice and mango lassi ever.

One of my classmates insisted taking a picture of me with this Yamaha MT03 - which is the first big bike I've ever rented. 320cc - perfect for my current skill level.

If you zoom in, you can see the royal park, just after the tree line.

Doi Suthep - closest mountain to Chiang Mai
